Job Description
The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) in Dubai South, DWC, is a state-of-the-art flight training facility offering cadets a fully operational flight operations environment. As a Simulator Technician, you will perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on flight simulators and related training equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on flight and cabin simulators according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in line with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct daily system checks on simulators, identifying and repairing minor defects; escalate complex issues to the Engineer.
- Carry out weekly corrective maintenance on visual systems and training equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain cabin training simulators and related equipment to the highest standards.
- Repair flight and cabin simulators, proposing solutions in coordination with other departments and contractors.
- Perform simulator configuration changes, troubleshoot resulting faults, and escalate complex problems to the Engineer.
- Assist Engineers in fault rectification and equipment overhauls using electro-mechanical skills.
- Log simulator usage and defect details clearly for reference by flight crew and Engineers.
Skill & Experience
- Engineering graduate with 2+ years of relevant experience, or A-levels with 5+ years’ experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a civil aircraft engineering environment, including on-the-job training at an airline or approved maintenance organization.
- Alternatively, 3 years’ experience in a civil engineering or technical/maintenance role.
