Job Description
The Senior Manager – Project Management & Digitization leads major procurement projects and supports the use of digital tools, including AI, within the Procurement and Contracts department. The role is responsible for planning and delivering complex initiatives on time and to agreed objectives, using technology to improve processes, support better decisions, and deliver clear business benefits. The role works closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meet compliance requirements, and support ongoing improvement in line with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement digitization initiatives by researching, evaluating, and helping implement digital tools and AI technologies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the Procurement & Contracts (P&C) function.
- Analyze existing procurement systems and processes to identify inefficiencies or gaps.
- Propose enhanced digital or AI-based solutions in collaboration with IT and relevant business units to improve workflow and outcomes.
- Research market-leading digital and AI solutions to automate or improve procurement services.
- Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and implementing solutions that align with business needs and strategic objectives.
- Prepare recommendations for management on suitable technology adoption.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools to track projects, leveraging analytics for better performance measurement.
- Support the Project Management & Digitization Lead in steering committee meetings, following up on project updates, risks, and escalations, including using AI-based risk assessment tools where relevant.
- Assist project teams in preparing business requirement documents, change requests, scopes of work, and other project documentation.
- Ensure all project activities and documentation comply with governance policies and guidelines.
- Identify inefficient procurement processes by analyzing data and using AI and machine learning tools.
- Conduct adoption reviews with internal teams and consultants to recommend improvements and increase process efficiency.
- Coordinate implementation of new digital or AI-enabled procurement solutions for business users.
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and preliminary testing to ensure smooth process adoption and issue resolution.
- Conduct post-implementation assessments with stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of automated and AI-enhanced procurement processes.
- Recommend further improvements to maximize procurement value.
- Monitor adoption rates of digital and AI solutions within procurement and recommend actions to improve uptake based on benchmarks.
- Support feasibility studies and business case development to encourage adoption of new digital capabilities.
- Assist in identifying training programs and initiatives to support both short-term and long-term digital transformation goals.
- Support ongoing development activities under the guidance of the Procurement Performance Analytics Lead.
- Focus on integrating AI and advanced analytics into procurement project management practices for better decision-making and efficiency.
Skill & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Three to four years of experience in project management, including involvement in AI-driven initiatives and procurement functions, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
