Senior Executive – Logistics

Job Description

The role is responsible for supporting the internal brand team with all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that shipments are cleared through customs and delivered on time to the warehouse and stores. The position also focuses on using the most cost-effective methods for transportation and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers or agents for cargo pick-up in alignment with the Brand team.
• Liaise with freight forwarders to arrange collection for imports and re-exports, and track shipments until delivery to warehouses or stores.
• Request and compare freight quotes from multiple service providers for ad-hoc shipments.
• Manage the movement of inbound and outbound stock using the most cost-effective transport options while ensuring timely delivery.
• Prepare shipping documents for outbound shipments to the GCC and local UAE exports.
• Verify customs BOEs and freight invoices, and forward them to finance for timely payment to avoid shipment delays.
• Process BOEs and make customs duty payments for all inbound and outbound shipments.

Skill & Experience

• Experience managing inbound, outbound, and re-export shipments, including customs clearance and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping procedures, and cost-effective logistics solutions.
• Skilled in preparing and validating shipping documents, BOEs, and freight invoices.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Experience obtaining and comparing freight quotes and selecting the most efficient service providers.
• Proficient in tracking shipments and using logistics or ERP systems for reporting.
• Understanding of customs duties, regulations, and timely payment processes to avoid delays.
