Job Description
The IT Quality Assurance Lead drives quality assurance across the software development lifecycle, ensuring all solutions meet functional, design, and compliance requirements. This role oversees test planning, execution, and reporting, identifies defects, and collaborates with development and business teams to deliver reliable, high-quality IT solutions that align with organizational standards and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define testing methods, author detailed test plans and cases, and maintain traceability to business and technical requirements
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT); manage defects by logging, tracking, verifying fixes, and publishing test reports
- Lead risk assessments, escalate quality risks, and implement process improvements and preventive actions
- Review product and design documentation to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and testable
- Administer IT quality standards and policies, ensuring compatibility and compliance with internal and vendor solutions
- Conduct test review sessions with cross-functional teams, coordinating acceptance criteria and handover to operations
- Perform post-implementation monitoring and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of defects and improve overall solution quality
Skill & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in IT Quality Assurance, Testing, or IT Governance within a recognized organization
- Strong knowledge of ISO Quality Management standards and familiarity with CISA, COBIT, IT
