Job Description
Provides comprehensive eye care services, including vision testing, diagnosis of visual disorders, and optical dispensing support. Ensures high-quality patient care while supporting smooth operational workflows
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Diagnose and manage refractive errors and common eye conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and visual aids.
- Perform pre- and post-operative assessments for ophthalmic procedures.
- Educate patients on eye health, lens care, and preventive measures.
- Support optical dispensing operations, including frame and lens selection.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and clinical protocols.
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists and clinical teams for patient referrals and care continuity.
Skill & Experience
- Strong clinical skills in optometry and vision assessment.
- Proficiency in using optometric diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
- Attention to detail in clinical evaluations and documentation.
- Ability to manage patient flow and operational responsibilities efficiently.
- Professionalism, empathy, and customer service orientation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry.
- Valid UAE optometrist license (DHA/HAAD/MOH approval).
- Experience in hospital, clinic, or optical retail settings is advantageous.
