Job Description
Base Maintenance provides full aircraft maintenance support, from routine checks to major repairs. The team also handles cabin upgrades, aircraft deliveries, and detailed inspection programs for Airbus A380, A350, and Boeing 777 aircraft. Skilled engineers ensure all work meets safety, quality, and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance and servicing according to approved manufacturer and safety procedures.
- Ensure assigned aircraft and work areas follow the latest technical manuals, notices, and engineering procedures.
- Confirm that all personal licences and approvals are valid for the assigned aircraft type.
- Handle off-aircraft tasks such as spare parts, tools, and store items in line with company rules, with complete documentation.
- Check that tools and equipment are serviceable and suitable for each task.
- Troubleshoot faults efficiently and replace components when required, following approved manuals.
- Follow all safety rules and company procedures, report issues, and support continuous quality improvement.
- Keep work areas clean and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Communicate clearly with engineers and managers to avoid delays and report incidents properly.
- Manage team performance through reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
- Attend required training and refresher courses to meet regulatory standards.
Skill & Experience
- Degree or licence in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronics, or Maintenance Engineering
- At least 10 years of engineering experience, including 5+ years as certifying staff
- Minimum two aircraft type approvals, with at least one Emirates aircraft type (A380, A350, or B777)
- GCAA, UK CAA, or EASA licence eligible for conversion preferred
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and international maintenance standards
