Job Description

The role is suited for dedicated and skilled Maintenance professionals who take pride in delivering high-quality service and practical solutions. As a Laundry Technician, the responsibility is to maintain and service all types of laundry equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general repair and maintenance tasks for laundry plumbing, electrical systems, and related equipment
  • Carry out basic painting and finishing work on furniture and structural elements as needed
  • Inspect and make minor repairs to electrical systems, including refrigeration controls, televisions, and lighting
  • Check plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, sinks, and toilets, performing minor repairs when necessary
  • Maintain and repair laundry equipment using manuals and service history for guidance
  • Re-issue and exchange worn-out or damaged clothing as required
  • Ensure security in the laundry area by conducting regular counts and routine checks
  • Prevent unauthorized ironing or starching of clothing
  • Verify that the correct amount of cleaned clothing is returned to the delivering officer
  • Keep the laundry building and designated outdoor areas clean, organized, and secure at all times

Skill & Experience

  • Technical background or formal training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
  • Proven experience working with industrial machinery, including operation, troubleshooting, and basic repairs
  • Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety regulations consistently
  • Good physical condition to handle the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken, for clear communication with colleagues and supervisors
  • Skilled at identifying faults, diagnosing issues, and performing effective corrective actions on equipment and systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically to ensure machinery is maintained safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel or industrial environment
  • Awareness of basic safety protocols and environmental considerations when handling machinery or tools
