Internal Medicine Specialist

Job Description

Provides comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of complex internal diseases. Manages acute and chronic conditions, coordinates patient care, and ensures high-quality, evidence-based treatment within Aster DM Healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of internal diseases, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and renal disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute or chronic illnesses.
• Coordinate with specialists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers for complex cases.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring effectiveness and adjusting as needed.
• Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuing medical education and stay updated on latest clinical guidelines.
• Provide guidance on hospitalization, referrals, and long-term care when required.

• Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and medical imaging.

• Professionalism, empathy, and ethical conduct in patient care.
• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
• Valid medical license to practice in the UAE.
• Board certification or equivalent in Internal Medicine.
• Proven experience managing complex adult medical conditions.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in internal medicine practice.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
