Job Description

The role is suited for motivated and proactive Food & Beverage professionals who can lead a team to deliver high-quality food and beverage services with efficiency and attention to detail. As a Head Waiter/Head Waitress, the responsibility is to provide professional, attentive, and personalized service to guests, ensuring every dining experience is smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with the Kitchen, Stewarding team, and Outlet Cashiers to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the assigned team in line with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor and manage duty schedules for the team to ensure adequate coverage and smooth workflow
  • Ensure all assigned employees maintain proper appearance, grooming, and professional conduct
  • Oversee the timely setup of the assigned Food & Beverage outlet according to meal settings and opening hours
  • Welcome arriving guests, assist with seating through the hostess, and take over if the hostess is unavailable
  • Maintain professional and friendly interactions with outlet guests to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Be fully knowledgeable of the outlet’s menu, promotions, and other relevant hotel or outlet information
  • Contribute to achieving and maximizing the monthly revenue target for the assigned Food & Beverage outlet

Skill & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Up to two years of experience in a similar Food & Beverage role within a hotel
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, with strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with Micros POS systems is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in leadership or supervisory roles is an advantage
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring smooth operations and high service standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and other departments
  • Professional appearance and conduct, with attention to detail and service excellence
