Job Description
The Butler offers attentive, discreet, and thoughtful service to guests, ensuring their needs are handled with care and professionalism. He serves as the primary point of contact for VIP guests, long-stay guests, and those celebrating special occasions, providing tailored support and personalized arrangements to enhance their experience throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly on arrival and help ensure their stay runs smoothly from the beginning.
- Arrange spa bookings, dining reservations, excursions, and private in-room experiences as requested.
- Assist with packing, unpacking, laundry, pressing, and wardrobe organization when needed.
- Observe guest preferences and habits to respond to needs before they are expressed.
- Maintain complete privacy and handle all guest matters with care and discretion.
- Provide support with sensitivity and respect, especially for personal assistance or cultural requirements.
- Carry out turndown service, conduct room checks, and ensure suites remain clean, well-presented, and comfortable.
- Act as the link between guests and hotel teams to ensure requests are communicated clearly and handled promptly.
- Work closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, and other departments to deliver personalized service.
- Keep accurate records of guest preferences to support future stays.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate clearly and handle situations calmly, showing good judgment and understanding.
- Resolve guest concerns politely and efficiently, referring issues to the Head Butler or management when required.
Skill & Experience
- Previous experience as a Butler, Personal Assistant, Guest Relations Officer, or in a similar position within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Strong people skills with the ability to organize tasks efficiently.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
- Always well-groomed with a professional and polished manner.
- Good understanding of service etiquette, luxury standards, and resort operations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Background in hospitality, luxury services, or supporting VIP guests.
- Friendly, caring attitude with a genuine desire to assist guests.
