Department Manager- Furniture
Job Description
The Department Manager is responsible for leading the team to deliver excellent customer service, overseeing daily department operations, managing merchandising and stock, and ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded at Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and stock replenishment.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Lead the team in delivering excellent customer service, understanding customer needs, and staying aware of trends and competitor activity.
- Address customer complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Ensure sufficient stock on the shop floor and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Coordinate with management to provide ongoing training for team members on brand standards, company policies, and role responsibilities.
- Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among colleagues.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including counting money, reconciling charge slips and vouchers, balancing drawers, and preparing deposits at the start and end of the day.
