Job Description
Supports the Engineer in performing base-level cabin appearance inspections, repairs, and component replacements on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. Completes and records all tasks accurately and on time, following Air Arabia procedures and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review assigned task cards with the Cabin Appearance Engineer to fully understand work scope, priorities, safety notes, and documentation needs before starting.
- Carry out cabin appearance maintenance tasks as per approved procedures and instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge.
- Prepare for scheduled maintenance by ensuring the correct parts, tools, documentation, and ground equipment are available and used properly.
- Perform inspections and tests to identify and record defects or damage according to approved maintenance standards.
- Check that cabin components meet approved standards and are suitable for use in the correct quantities.
- Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable before use and returned in good condition after task completion.
- Provide regular task updates to the Engineer-in-Charge and report any issues affecting work progress or component condition.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards at all times.
- Follow all safety precautions, use required protective equipment, and apply human factors best practices during maintenance.
- Support team members and other departments during scheduled checks and represent Air Arabia with professionalism.
- Work with cost awareness, minimizing waste, avoiding rework, and using materials efficiently.
Skill & Experience
- Minimum of two years’ hands-on experience in line or base maintenance operations.
- Experience working on large commercial aircraft, with Airbus exposure preferred.
- Certified and experienced as a Workshop Maintenance Technician.
- Comfortable using computers and basic tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Good command of spoken and written English for technical communication.
- Eligible to obtain a UAE driving license.
