Job Description
The Beauty Advisor interacts with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, using strong product knowledge to support sales and overall business performance. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The Beauty Advisor also helps maintain store standards by keeping displays well organized and following operational guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Guide customers by recommending suitable products and clearly explaining their key features and benefits.
- Help shoppers find and choose products based on their preferred brand, shade, or variant, and support them through the purchase process.
- Use selling techniques such as add-on suggestions and product pairings to increase the value of each sale.
- Respond to customer questions and requests promptly to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints in line with service guidelines and within assigned authority.
- Follow service standards at all times, including greeting customers, offering assistance, and maintaining a friendly approach.
- Check product availability regularly and update records related to stock condition and shelf life.
- Protect store merchandise by following proper handling and loss-prevention practices.
- Refill shelves when items run low and ensure products have clear and accurate price labels.
- Track and apply weekly price updates and replace shelf tags when required.
- Arrange product displays according to store layout plans and promotional timelines.
- Keep the assigned area clean, tidy, and well organized throughout the day.
- Set up promotional displays and marketing materials to support ongoing store campaigns.
- Complete required store tasks and reports on time and take part in agreed improvement actions.
- Follow company rules on attendance, punctuality, appearance, and workplace conduct.
Skill & Experience
- Strong people skills with the ability to build good relationships and adapt to changing situations.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to stay calm, understanding, and results-driven.
- Honest, dependable, and proactive, with a positive approach to teamwork.
- Comfortable using computers and store systems related to stock control and merchandising.
- Two to four years of retail experience, preferably in the beauty or fashion industry.
- Good understanding of current beauty and fashion trends and products.
- Hands-on experience with daily store operations, including inventory, visual displays, and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong service skills with the ability to resolve issues and support team objectives.
