Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Operations Excellence will lead the noon Minutes team in improving operational efficiency, implementing process improvements, and ensuring reliable last-mile delivery. This role requires a hands-on, data-driven professional who can turn goals into measurable results and work effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Lean Operations initiatives, focusing on improving processes, optimizing systems, and driving operational consistency across all Noon Minutes markets.
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in existing operations, and implement both tech and non-tech solutions to address them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Fulfillment, Tech, Planning & Performance, Admin, HR, Finance, and Procurement to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
  • Establish best practices, document them in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensure knowledge transfer, and monitor compliance across teams.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, SOPs, and e-learning content for all operational roles.
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing training for Delivery Associates, including walkers, cyclists, motorbike, and EV riders, as well as retraining initiatives to improve performance and reduce turnover.
  • Train and support Area Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Dispatchers, and help design performance management frameworks with Country Leadership.
  • Work with the Tech team to request and implement operational improvements, support new product rollouts, and ensure alignment with leadership goals.
  • Manage recruitment for frontline logistics staff, including scheduling, announcing, and conducting recruitment drives across the UAE.
  • Monitor delivery quality and consistency, ensuring high standards across the fleet.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in E-commerce, Supply Chain Design, or Operational Excellence, including at least 2 years in the GCC region.
  • Experience as a strategic business partner, providing data-driven insights and supporting initiatives that improve financial performance.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with operational data using tools such as pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building and maintaining relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with technology, with knowledge of Google Suite considered a plus.
