Job Description

The Manager of Sustainability works closely with the Head of Sustainability to advance Abu Dhabi Airports’ sustainability efforts across all areas of the organization. This role helps develop strategies, ESG frameworks, and governance processes, and leads the implementation of sustainability and decarbonization projects that align with company goals, national priorities, and international standards. It is responsible for tracking performance, preparing reports, coordinating with different teams, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure progress is made on environmental, social, and governance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the communication and implementation of Abu Dhabi Airports’ sustainability vision and ESG priorities across all departments.
  • Assist in developing ESG frameworks, policies, and governance processes in line with international standards and national sustainability goals.
  • Help deliver sustainability and decarbonization initiatives, including energy efficiency, carbon reduction, circular economy, biodiversity, and social impact programs.
  • Monitor sustainability performance, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and prepare reports and analyses to support decision-making.
  • Manage sustainability projects, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and tracking progress.
  • Support the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program and engage with authorities, government bodies, and external stakeholders.
  • Track global sustainability trends and provide insights to strengthen Abu Dhabi Airports’ strategic position.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to share sustainability achievements through campaigns and content.
  • Support ESG reporting and disclosures in line with recognized frameworks (GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol, etc.).
  • Assist with implementing the Sustainable Design and Construction Manual (SDCM) in capital projects.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Planning, Engineering, Architecture, or a related aviation field from an accredited university.
  • Professional certification in sustainability or ESG from a recognized body is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in sustainability or environmental management, either in-house or with a major international consultancy.
