Job Description

The Senior Lecturer – Traffic Safety will support and implement awareness initiatives aligned with Dubai’s five-year Road Safety Strategy, focusing on education and public engagement. The role will also propose and develop new initiatives under the Traffic Awareness pillar, adapting programs as transportation systems evolve to enhance road safety and reduce accidents across the emirate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the Traffic Department’s webpage and shared traffic awareness resources in coordination with Marketing and Corporate Communications
  • Coordinate with internal and external entities to produce radio and television programs promoting traffic awareness, guidance, and education
  • Prepare official responses to public complaints and suggestions related to road safety
  • Conduct field visits to hospitals to implement child safety initiatives, promote child car seat usage, and support road accident victims in coordination with relevant entities
  • Deliver specialized, multilingual traffic safety lectures to pedestrians, drivers, delivery riders, public transport users, and soft mobility users, emphasizing laws, technical standards, and high-risk areas
  • Develop and produce traffic awareness content for media programs, events, campaigns, advertisements, and publications, including the Salama magazine
  • Prepare traffic awareness programs, training plans, technical lectures, and annual performance reports based on accident data and road safety strategies
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of traffic training initiatives aligned with Dubai’s Road Safety Strategy
  • Review and update technical traffic awareness manuals following institutional documentation policies
  • Collaborate with strategic partners such as Dubai Police, Ministry of Interior, Dubai Health Authority, and other government and semi-government entities on awareness campaigns
  • Design innovative traffic awareness initiatives using traffic indicators and statistics, while engaging the private sector to improve road safety and optimize costs
  • Plan and implement traffic awareness campaigns, workshops, and lectures in line with operational and engineering project plans

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering, Transportation, Road Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in traffic safety, road safety awareness, or transportation management
  • Experience in designing, implementing, or delivering public awareness campaigns, training programs, or educational initiatives is preferred
  • Familiarity with traffic regulations, road safety standards, and accident data analysis
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences
