Trainee Pharmacist-Operations

Job Description

Supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of senior pharmacists. Assists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and provides a foundation for practical experience in pharmaceutical operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Support daily pharmacy operations, including stock management, inventory control, and ordering supplies.
• Prepare and label medications under supervision according to standard procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Provide medication counseling to patients under guidance.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, including prescriptions, inventory logs, and controlled substances.
• Participate in pharmacy audits and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care and medication management.

Skill & Experience

• Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and record-keeping.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy information systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient safety.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or PharmD degree.
• Valid UAE pharmacist trainee registration or eligibility for DHA/HAAD/MOH approval.
• Previous internship or training experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an advantage.
• Familiarity with pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and inventory management is preferred.
