Job Description
The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for designing and managing total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent across the region. This includes developing competitive and strategic compensation packages aligned with the company’s growth objectives, using market data analysis to guide decisions while ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role also involves promoting work-life balance by ensuring rewards and benefits support colleagues’ well-being, reinforcing a culture where their time and contributions are valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and proposing compensation packages and policies that attract and retain talent in line with the company’s strategic objectives
- Support the implementation and evaluation of current compensation and benefits structures, including base pay, incentives, and health and welfare programs
- Conduct market surveys to assess competitiveness of compensation programs, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements
- Ensure all compensation systems comply with local legal regulations and employment laws
- Manage annual salary reviews and merit increases, providing recommendations based on relevant market data
- Develop and implement clear communication strategies to explain compensation and benefits programs to employees
- Build and maintain strong relationships with health plan brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators
- Gather strategic market intelligence on compensation and benefits in emerging markets and new hotel locations, including local laws, regulations, financial implications, and benefits
- Compile and maintain pre-opening documentation for new properties, establishing realistic budgets and staffing requirements
- Participate in third-party compensation and benefits surveys to ensure company practices remain aligned with market trends
- Support the Corporate Vice President – Talent & Culture in developing and managing HR guidelines, reviewing and upgrading policies to maintain competitiveness
- Initiate, coordinate, and develop special HR projects for assessment and recommendation to the Corporate Vice President – Talent & Culture
Skill & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, ideally within hospitality or multinational organizations
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and provide strategic, data-driven recommendations
- Experience managing multi-country compensation programs while ensuring compliance with local labor laws
- In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits structures, industry practices, and legal compliance requirements
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, payroll processes, and related HR technologies
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective partnerships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Awareness of emerging markets, local employment laws, and current trends in benefits programs
