Job Description
The role is suited for guest-focused Front Office professionals who are committed to providing high standards of customer service and attentive support throughout a guest’s stay. As a Bell Attendant, the responsibility is to deliver polite, professional, and helpful service, assisting guests with their luggage and needs while ensuring smooth arrivals and departures, contributing to a comfortable and memorable hotel experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a polite and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival until departure
- Coordinate closely with other departments to support smooth and efficient service
- Keep updated knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Review and understand guest preferences and history through the Opera guest profile system
- Handle guest luggage carefully, transporting it from arrival areas to guest rooms and from rooms to departure points during check-out
- Receive, record, and distribute guest and staff messages, mail, and packages accurately and at the correct time
- Deliver newspapers to guest rooms in the morning as scheduled
- Ensure all guest messages and deliveries are handled promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and organisation of the concierge desk and storeroom at all times
Skill & Experience
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or formal vocational training in concierge or front office operations within a hotel
- Previous experience or practical training in a concierge or bell service role is preferred
- Good command of spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with guests and colleagues
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a polite, friendly, and helpful approach when dealing with guests
- Ability to understand guest needs and provide assistance in a professional and respectful manner
- Well-groomed appearance and a professional attitude at all times
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships with all departments
- Basic knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and local attractions is an added advantage
