Job Description

From a data management perspective, the role involves working within one of the largest and most complex data warehouse environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, managing, and using large data sets to support business needs. The position also requires experience in creating reliable and scalable solutions that move data from source systems into the data warehouse and onward to user-facing reporting tools such as Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Business Intelligence initiatives, ensuring alignment with MAFR BI standards and data governance rules.
  • Work closely with MAFR functions to understand business needs and translate challenges into clear BI and analytics solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and real-time updates of Power BI workspaces, datasets, dashboards, reports, and KPIs, ensuring proper governance and deployment processes.
  • Manage CI/CD processes to support smooth updates and changes without affecting end users.
  • Own the creation and ongoing maintenance of the MAFR BI glossary, covering KPIs, measures, tables, naming standards, and definitions.
  • Build and automate workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to improve efficiency.
  • Develop BI champions across countries and functions to enable self-service reporting using centralized datasets.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Row-Level, Object-Level, and Personal-Level Security, working closely with data engineering and architecture teams.
  • Partner with Cloud Architecture to design and maintain XMLA frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure quality, governance, and smooth data updates.
  • Use SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M) to analyze large datasets, perform regular data quality checks, and ensure reliable insights.
  • Ensure best practices for DAX performance are followed and support optimization of direct query performance.
  • Prepare regular analytical reports that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making and planning.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, security, and integrity in line with compliance and industry requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation, performance optimization, and scalable data solutions.
  • Explore new data sources and develop analytics solutions that support customer growth, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Design and maintain real-time data pipelines feeding Power BI dashboards for timely insights.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Six or more years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer using the Power BI platform, working in a multinational environment and supporting operations across multiple countries.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering complex, enterprise-level BI solutions.
  • Strong background in building analysis and evaluation tools to measure performance, track user behavior, and demonstrate clear business value with a solid track record.
