Job Description

The DC Supervisor oversees daily warehouse and store distribution operations, ensuring merchandise is received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, on time, and cost-effectively. The role is responsible for smooth store replenishment, maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing team productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily DC and store warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, put-away, and dispatch.
  • Ensure timely and accurate store replenishment according to dispatch schedules and SLAs.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate manpower efficiently to meet daily volume targets.
  • Coordinate with transportation, planning, and store teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, shortages, and mismatches.
  • Ensure proper stock segregation, including good stock, damaged items, and RTV.
  • Lead, train, and motivate warehouse and DC staff to ensure productivity and discipline.
  • Plan shift rosters, attendance, leaves, and overtime according to workload.
  • Conduct daily briefings, performance tracking, and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Maintain warehouse hygiene, 5S standards, and safe material-handling practices.
  • Support audits, loss prevention initiatives, and compliance checks.
  • Prepare and share daily operational MIS reports covering inbound, outbound, backlog, and shrinkage.
  • Escalate operational risks, delays, or capacity constraints proactively.
  • Collaborate with planning, supply chain, and store teams to enhance service levels.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce errors, delays, and costs.
  • Support implementation of system or process enhancements, including WMS, handheld devices, and scanners.

Skill & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations
  • Experience in people and shift management
  • Proficiency in inventory control and ensuring accuracy
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel, WMS, and ERP systems
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in warehouse, DC, or store operations; retail or e-commerce experience preferred
  • Prior experience managing store dispatches or replenishment is an advantage
