Job Description
The role is responsible for representing the brand in the store by driving sales through excellent customer service and a high-quality retail experience. It also involves performing operational duties, including maintaining the store and ensuring visual presentation standards are met, as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cosmetics products and accessories.
- Maximize sales by demonstrating make-up techniques and recommending products tailored to customer needs.
- Educate customers on the use of make-up accessories and current trends.
- Deliver excellent customer service by understanding customer requirements and providing appropriate product suggestions.
- Represent the brand professionally, ensuring product knowledge is current and stock loss is minimized.
- Arrange and display stock according to store layout standards to attract customers.
- Maintain awareness of store security at all times.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and store cleanliness.
- Operate the POS/Billing system, process payments via cash, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits, and issue receipts, refunds, or change accurately.
- Greet customers and assist in product selection to convert window shoppers into buyers.
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat sales.
- Flexibly work extended hours during sales or festival periods.
- Record inventory movements (inward/outward) and maintain accurate inventory reports.
- Stay informed about all brands within the group to provide effective suggestive selling.
- Maintain a well-groomed and presentable appearance at all times.
Skill & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in cosmetics or beauty is an advantage
- 3–5 years of experience in cosmetics or beauty retail, with hands-on product knowledge
- Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to demonstrate make-up techniques and recommend products
- Knowledge of beauty trends, cosmetics products, and accessories
- Experience handling POS systems, cash handling, and billing procedures
- Ability to maintain store visual standards, stock organization, and inventory records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and educate customers
- Professional appearance, well-groomed, and presentable at all times
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, sales, and festival periods
