Job Description

Assists in conducting clinical audit projects to ensure healthcare providers follow clinical practice guidelines and standards of care. Supports the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the clinical audit program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops clinical audit plans in collaboration with medical and clinical teams and monitors key aspects of implementation.
  • Facilitates and ensures completion of clinical audits within specified timelines.
  • Creates data collection tools for audits and validates the accuracy of collected data.
  • Reviews medical records to identify incomplete documentation or errors in patient care.
  • Conducts audits required by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) following their guidelines and best practices.
  • Researches new treatment protocols, clinical guidelines, or procedures to assess safety and effectiveness.
  • Maintains a database of clinical audit results and generates reports and dashboards to highlight compliance and areas for improvement.
  • Prepares audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans, and ensures dissemination to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conducts training sessions to keep healthcare professionals updated on clinical audit procedures and requirements.
  • Participates in risk reduction activities by reporting audit-identified risks and supporting tools like Failure Mode Effect Analysis and Hazard Vulnerability Analysis.
  • Supports departmental activities related to clinical audit, risk management, and quality improvement as directed by leadership.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Quality, or a Diploma in a relevant field with 3 additional years of experience.
  • CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), Auditing, or Data Analysis certification preferred.
  • Clinical experience or prior work in a healthcare setting.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Skilled in preparing reports, correspondence, and progress summaries based on audit results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
