The Carrefour Group is one of the world’s largest retailers, operating for over 50 years. It is the second-largest retailer globally and the largest in Europe, offering four main grocery formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, cash & carry, and convenience stores. The Group has more than 9,900 company-owned and franchise stores worldwide.

Carrefour is an international retailer with a presence in over 30 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. It entered markets like Brazil in 1975 and China in 1995, with more than half of its sales generated outside France.

The Group supports local economic growth by hiring and training local staff and prioritizing local supply chains. Around 75% of its food products come from local suppliers. Carrefour is often one of the top private employers in the countries where it operates, including France, Brazil, Argentina, and Italy, showing its commitment to communities while maintaining a global retail presence.
