Workshop Production Controller
Job Description
Oversee daily workshop maintenance activities to ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with technicians, track work progress, maintain accurate records, and support a smooth flow of components or engines through all maintenance stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop tasks in line with the plan shared by the Workshop Planning Engineer.
- Track work progress and help technicians resolve basic technical or process issues.
- Ensure job cards are completed, signed, and closed correctly and on time.
- Coordinate the movement of components across workstations, including outsourced activities.
- Confirm all work follows approved manuals and documents (CMMs, SBs, EOs).
- Work with Logistics and Stores to confirm parts, tools, and consumables are available.
- Update AMOS with work-in-progress status and support component release paperwork.
- Highlight delays or issues such as missing materials or tooling to the Supervisor or Planner.
- Support audits by keeping maintenance records accurate and easy to trace.
Skill & Experience
- Degree in Aircraft, Aeronautical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related diploma/certification from a recognized institute.
- 3+ years of experience in a component workshop or aircraft maintenance role within an airline or MRO setup.
- Good understanding of turnaround time drivers and common workflow delays.
- Hands-on knowledge of shop-floor maintenance processes and technical documents such as CMMs, SBs, and EOs.
- Familiar with aviation regulations including EASA Part-145, GCAA CAR-145, or FAA 145.
- Comfortable using maintenance systems like AMOS (preferred), TRAX, or similar tools.
- Able to solve day-to-day floor issues quickly and raise concerns when required.
