Job Description

dnata is a global leader in air services, delivering ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering solutions at 136 airports across 38 countries. The role provides dedicated engineering support to airline customers in line with line maintenance agreements, ensuring all technical requirements are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the safe operation of ground support equipment such as GPU, AC units, air start units, jacks, lifts, nitrogen trolleys, and brake cooling units during shifts at DXB and DWC.
  • Support aircraft technicians and engineers with arrival and departure activities, including headset communication, inspections, refuelling, and oil servicing when requested.
  • Operate specialised tools and equipment for aircraft checks, testing, servicing, or component replacement under engineer guidance.
  • Work independently across airport areas, coordinating with pilots, engineers, and airline representatives to meet service requests on time.
  • Follow all company procedures, airport regulations, and safety standards to ensure safe aircraft and personnel handling.
  • Actively promote safety awareness, maintain clean work areas, and prevent FOD through good housekeeping practices.
  • Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support aircraft turnaround and departmental goals.

Skill & Experience

  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in aircraft line maintenance.
  • Completed an apprenticeship with an airline, approved maintenance organisation, or equivalent military (Air Force/Navy) training.
  • Valid UAE driving licence or Airport Police driving permit.
  • Basic practical and theoretical knowledge of aircraft structures, engines, avionics, and technical equipment.
  • This position is classified as a safety-sensitive role.
