Freighter Planning Manager

Job Description

Manage and optimize flydubai’s freighter operations by planning network schedules, capacity, and utilization strategies. Ensure freighter aircraft are deployed efficiently to meet commercial demand, operational capabilities, and long-term strategic goals, supporting cargo growth and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage short-, medium-, and long-term freighter schedules to use aircraft efficiently.
• Work with Flight Operations, Engineering, and Ground Handling to make sure schedules are practical and meet safety and regulatory rules.
• Monitor aircraft performance and cargo capacity to keep operations profitable and efficient.
• Oversee the introduction of new freighter routes, including testing, crew training, and performance checks.
• Review and approve special cargo flights or charters, considering operational and financial impact.
• Coordinate with Cargo Pricing and Revenue teams to ensure plans meet market and profitability goals.
• Lead and support the Freighter Planning team, encouraging teamwork and continuous learning.
• Prepare reports on freighter performance, costs, and route efficiency.
• Make sure all planning activities comply with rules and company standards.
• Continuously improve planning processes to save resources and increase reliability.

Skill & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years).
• Fluent in English.
• At least 8 years of experience in airline cargo or freighter planning, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Relevant experience and qualifications: 8–10 years.
