Cargo Operations Manager

Job Description

Oversee dnata’s handling, warehouse, and ramp operations, including ULD and palletized processes, bulk-loading activities, and adherence to all regulatory, safety, and OEM standards. Ensure operational efficiency and excellence as flydubai’s cargo operations expand in scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Define operational objectives and implement approved strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and revenue-optimized cargo operations across all aircraft and locations.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and accuracy in all cargo operations.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, service failures, irregularities, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Safety Performance Targets in line with UAE GCAA standards for bulk and ULD operations.
• Oversee daily cargo operations at DXB and DWC, ensuring consistent service quality and handling standards with dnata and other ground handling partners.
• Identify and recommend infrastructure, automation, and resource requirements to support current and future cargo operations.
• Coordinate with dnata and third-party service providers to ensure SLA compliance and operational readiness for all aircraft types.
• Support cargo product development, including system automation and the launch of specialized cargo products (pharma, express, automotive, oversized cargo).
• Maintain and update all cargo documentation in the Ground Handling Manual (GHM), ensuring regulatory compliance and internal approvals.

Skill & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years).
• Fluent in English.
• At least 8 years of experience in cargo operations, freight handling, or aviation ground operations, including managing large operational teams.
• Relevant experience and qualifications: 8–10 years.
